Home Remedies for Acne Scars
Acne
 marks will generally fade away over time. However, if you cannot stand 
the wait, use the following home remedies for acne scars:
- 
Vit E oilsApply
 any Vitamin E enriched oil like Almond oil, Olive oil or Lavender oil 
over the marks 10 minutes before bath everyday. You can also open a 
Vitamin E capsule and apply the oil on the affected area
- 
Ayurveda oilsGently rub 5 drops of Kumkumadi taila (ayurvedic oil) on to your face for 5 minutes, once daily. Wash off with warm water.
- 
Lemon juiceApply
 lime/lemon juice on the affected areas at bedtime. Dilute with water if
 you find the acetic acid stinging. Wash off with cold water in the 
morning.
- 
Baking sodaMix baking soda with water to use as a natural scrub. Keep it on the skin for 10 minutes and wash off with cold water.
- 
HoneyHoney
 is good for people with sensitive clean. Raw or Manuka honey is the 
best. Just dab some honey on the affected area and wash off after a few 
minutes.
- 
Aloe veraUse the sap from an aloe-vera plant to apply on the affected area overnight.
- 
Sandalwood pasteMix sandalwood paste with coconut milk or honey and apply on the skin for 30 minutes and wash off with cold water.
- 
Apple Cider VinegarDab diluted apple cider vinegar with cotton balls on the affected areas and wash off after a few minutes with cold water.
- 
TomatoCrush a tomato and apply it on your face. Wash off with plain lukewarm water after 20 minutes
- 
FenugreekTake
 1 tsp of fenugreek seeds and boil it in a cup (250 ml) of water for 
10-15 minutes. Cool the solution and strain the water. Apply the water 
on the scars. Do not rinse it out.

NeemCrush a fresh leaf and apply it on scars for 30 minutes before rinsing it off with water.
- 
OatmealYou
 can use sugar or oatmeal mixed with rose water to form abrasive scrubs 
to exfoliate skin. Don’t be too harsh, rub it on the skin for 2-3 
minutes before washing it off with cold water. Follow up with a gentle 
cream or coconut/almond oil.
- 
Vit C rich foodsEat
 foods high in Vitamin C like oranges, tangerines, chili peppers, 
guavas, bell peppers, dark leafy greens, broccoli, cauliflower, kiwis, 
papayas and strawberries.
- 
Vit E rich foodsEating
 foods high in Vitamin E repairs your skin from within. Sunflower seeds,
 almonds, pine nuts, paprika, red chili powder, peanuts, basil, oregano,
 dried apricots, spinach, and cooked taro root are rich sources.
