Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate Review

This is a product that I purchased after reading countless reviews from beauty
bloggers
I trust, and by golly! They did not fail me. I adore this stuff. The Kiehl’s Midnight
Recovery Concentrate is an overnight elixir that works to replenish your skin with
moisture. It's filled to the brim with good-for-your-skin ingredients like Squalane
(a signature Kiehl’s ingredient), Omega-6 fatty acids, Evening Primrose Oil,
and other essential oils including Lavender (no parabens or mineral oil here!).
Squalane is a highly refined moisturizing oil derived from an olive. It’s very silky,
easily absorbed and known to be particularly good at mixing with the natural oils
of your skin, as it’s a botanical lipid similar in molecular structure to natural skin
lipids. It works overnight to help your skin recover radiance, and to make your skin
feel smoother and softer. You are meant to use 2-3 drops on cleansed skin,
and you are supposed to gently press it on your skin before massaging it in.

I use more than 2 drops, to be honest; I find I need more like 3 or 4, but that may
be because my skin is dry (or because of my inability to use the little dropper well.
I just get dropper happy and want to keep “dropping” out little balls of pretty oil!)
It’s packaged in a heavy and expensive looking jar with a little medicine dropper,
which leads to a very “apothecary” feel, which I adore.

I love applying this right before bed, and it’s made it into my little “bedside beauty
stash”.
The little jar feels lush and makes me feel just a little bit special, plus it smells divine.
I think of it as a double treatment; the treatment itself, on your face, but also giving
me almost aromatherapy affects. The lavender oil stands out to me above all others
in the scent, and that makes it absolutely perfect as a before-bed treat,
since lavender
is my favorite sleepy-time scent. This product just makes me feel
expensive and luxurious,
and because of that it’s worth its weight in gold, in my opinion.

It’s $46, which is absolutely worth it if you like the way this sounds.
I highly recommend it,
and have already picked up one for my mom as well. It’s meant for
 all skin types, and will
work wonders for the “glow” of your skin. Funny story… the first night I was
 in Florida with
my parents I walked into their room after they had fallen asleep and applied
 this to my
mom’s face becauseshe needed it. The next morning she was all, “my skin looks so
plump today, I wonder why”. And when I told her what it was she insisted
 on applying
it again
right then.
She is a believer in this stuff too.

Order it on Kiehl’s website if you want to try new samples; they have more sample
offerings
than I’ve ever experienced. Literally there were seventy-one options as of writing
this post – that’s insane! You get to select 3 with your purchase, and I could see
myself spending ages deciding what to try; it’s like a shopping haul in and of itself!
 I would
recommend the
Unfortunately my other Kiehl’s favorite, the Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado,
isn’t offered in sample form, but trust me when I say it is amazing, and worth buying
in full size. I will do a full review on it soon –
 it’s lovely!

P.S. I also did a little web hunt and Bloomingdales is offering two Kiehl’s gifts
with purchase. Spend $50 and you get a deluxe sample of their
Ultra Facial Cream, and spend $75 and get a deluxe sample of their
